Our year-round, weekly rehearsals include practicing the craft of singing with warm-up exercises, learning new songs and polishing existing repertoire. We also receive vocal and performance training from respected coaches. Our music is memorized, with the help of sheet music, sectional rehearsals and audio learning tracks. Reading music is not required as our audio learning tracks provide part predominant tracks per song.
Singing in a chorus is a team effort and, like participating on any kind of team, it takes a commitment from each individual for the success of the team. Members are expected to attend rehearsals weekly, prepared with the scheduled songs reviewed prior so the chorus can work on musicality and performance techniques. Outside time of at least a few hours a week will be needed for learning notes and words using the provided audio learning tracks.
Harmony, Inc officially installed the Liberty Belles as their newest chapter in 2009. As a proud chapter, the chorus can now compete every May in Harmony Inc.’s Area 3 Contest and Convention for the opportunity to appear on the International stage in November along with qualifiers from the other five areas. The Liberty Belles perform throughout the year at various community celebrations, civic and charitable organizations, retirement residences, church groups, social clubs and businesses throughout the region.
